The opportunity.

Defence Bank is seeking a dynamic Contract Administrator Lead to develop and implement our service provider management system. This newly created role is your opportunity to drive excellence in service delivery, compliance, and service provider relationships—while championing innovation in a member-focused, technology-enabled environment

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll:

  • Lead negotiations and renewals of sourcing contracts and agreements.
  • Manage the contract register and review cycles, ensuring systems are up to date.
  • Provide expert commercial advice to drive measurable improvements in savings, quality, risk, and service.
  • Build strong service provider relationships and ensure sustainable, compliant sourcing practices.
  • Deliver timely, comprehensive reporting to senior stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you.

  • Experience managing complex service provider relationships
  • Commercial negotiation and management skills
  • Familiarity with service provider governance requirements including obligations related to CPS230

  • Effective communicator and has a track record of project delivery
  • Ability to simplify and streamline tasks.
  • Demonstrated track record in successfully managing multiple projects and delivering project objectives in a timely manner
  • Degree qualified or background in Property, Construction, Engineering, Business or Commerce
  • May have 5 years in a Procurement or allied role
  • Organised and quality administrator
  • Sound knowledge of contract principles and policy
  • Effective negotiator
  • Project Literate, Digitally Driven
